The Associated Student Body (ASB) and Leadership program at Oakland Technical High School is dedicated to building school spirit, fostering student leadership, and creating a positive and inclusive campus community. Our mission is to empower students to lead with integrity, serve others, and make a meaningful impact both at Tech and throughout Oakland.

ASB and Leadership students work year-round to plan and organize school events, promote student engagement, and represent the voices of the student body. From rallies, dances, and spirit weeks to community service projects, cultural celebrations, and campus improvement initiatives, our goal is to ensure that every student has opportunities to connect, participate, and thrive.

What We Do

The ASB and Leadership program is responsible for:

• Planning and hosting school-wide events and activities.

• Building school spirit and promoting Tech pride.

• Supporting student clubs, organizations, and athletic programs.

• Coordinating elections and student representation.

• Leading community service and volunteer initiatives.

• Celebrating the diverse cultures and achievements of our student body.

• Working alongside school administration to address student needs and improve campus life.​
